This breakfast panel will dive into the current student protests, which started in France earlier this autumn. These protests have since spread across Europe, and have led to violent clashes with the police, looting and buildings set ablaze. How did the political situation get to this point, and how may it be fixed?
Our panel will address the students’ motivations and revendications for protesting, the institutional contact that led to this situation, as well as the possible future outcomes. This conversation will also investigate both the institutional failures and police violence that are overlooked in social media and the press.
This panel is our contribution to International Students Day ! We will serve breakfast and light refreshments.
LawTransform is delighted to welcome our wonderful panelists:
Martina Vukasovic (UIB),
Guillaume Nicaise (CMI),
Noémie Saillant (a french student who is experiencing the protests), and
Louise Louvet (LawTransform, moderator).
When : Tuesday 17th November, 8:30-9:30
Where : Bergen Global, Jekteviksbakken 31, Bergen.
Breakfast and hot beverages will be served shortly before the start of the panel !
We look forward to seeing you many of you there !
