Dr. Alfred Moore

Dr. Alfred Moore is a Lecturer in Political Theory at the Department of Politics at the University of York. His research interests include deliberative democracy, social epistemology, politics of expertise and technology and democracy. He also has a current interest in the networked public sphere – the ways in which the internet is changing democratic politics. Moore is currently working on the research project “Rethinking political competition”, funded by The British Academy. He has published on the problem of expertise in democratic theory, and has authored the book «Critical Elitism: Deliberation, Democracy, and the Politics of Expertise», which was published in 2017.  https://www.york.ac.uk/politics/people/academicstaff/alfred-moore/#profile-content
