Master’s student in comparative politics focusing on democratic backlash in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Caroline Borge Bjelland is a student at the master’s program in Comparative Politics at the University of Bergen. She is part of the Breaking BAD project and is currently writing her master thesis about the role of the Pentecostal church in democratic backlash in Sub-Saharan Africa. She holds a bachelor’s degree from University of New South Wales in Sydney with a major in politics and a minor in international relations. In 2017 she was an exchange student at McGill University in Montrèal taking courses focusing on the Middle East and political philosophy.

She is currently a volunteer at LawTransform here at CMI.
