Hege Stein Helland is currently a researcher at the Department of Administration and Organization Theory, at the University of Bergen, at a research project on adoption as a child welfare measure. She holds a master’s degree in sociology from UiB (2015), and after this spent 14 months as a research assistant at the international research project “Legitimacy and Fallibility in Child Welfare Services”, where she in addition to project support contributed to cross-country research on violence against children and children’s participation in child welfare proceedings.
