Master’s student in political science focusing on post-war politics, governance and democracy.

Ingvild Berg Lemstad is currently studying a master’s degree in Comparative Politics at the University of Bergen, writing her master thesis on political parties in post-conflict areas and regime transitions towards autocracy.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from SOAS, the School of African and Oriental Studies, London. She wrote her bachelor’s thesis about the role of women in guerilla movements focusing on the case of the Tamil Tigers (LTTE) in Sri Lanka.

Her research interests include post-war politics, governance and democracy in the Global South, security-studies, development politics, women’s empowerment, and international political structures.
