Olive is a 2018-19 Fulbright U.S. Student Program grantee at the Centre for Research on Discretion and Paternalism, University of Bergen, and a volunteer at the Centre on Law and Social Transformation. She is conducting her Fulbright research on how the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child participation rights are implemented for unaccompanied minor asylum seekers in the Norwegian asylum process. Olive received her bachelor’s degree in sociology/anthropology and studio art from St. Olaf College in Minnesota, U.S. Her research interests include immigration, immigration and refugee integration, and children’s rights.
