Vikram Kolmannskog (b. 1980, Oslo) is interested in the complexities of human life, and how we can limit unnecessary suffering. His work is focused on therapy, law and society, and creative writing. He is a Gestalt therapist with a private practice in Oslo, and works as Professor of Gestalt Therapy at the Norwegian Gestalt Institute. He has also trained as a human rights lawyer and a social scientist. His doctoral thesis was a doctrinal and socio-legal exploration of the rights of so-called “climate refugees”. Recently, he has done research on the queer movement in India and their legal mobilisation. He writes both fiction and non-fiction. “Den tomme stolen. Fortellinger fra gestaltterapi” (Flux, 2015) has received very positive reviews. An English edition (“The Emty Chair. Tales from Gestalt Therapy”) should be available by the end of 2016.
