Abstract: This article examines the role of the Supreme Court of Justice of Paraguay regarding women’s rights within the framework of the gender perspective. It conducts a detailed analysis of 40 judgments from the Constitutional and Penal Chambers between 2000 and 2020, drawn from a pool of 938 sentences. The findings indicate that 75% of the cases weredecided with a gender perspective. Notably, in cases involving the State as a party, the Court consistently ruled in favor of women’s rights, signifying an evolving commitment to effective protection of their rights.
