LawTransform is proud to collaborate with Cine Latino on the “Green is the New Red” screening, followed by a Q&A session with the film’s director Anna Recalde Miranda moderated by Siri Gloppen.”Green is the New Red” is an insightful documentary about why environmental activism has become life-threatening.
During the Cold War, communists were seen as the greatest threat to the status quo in authoritarian Latin American regimes. Through Operation Condor, states cooperated to kidnap, torture, and often kill potential left-wing individuals. This thought-provoking documentary shows how the hunt is now targeting environmental activists.
