Bruce M. Wilson is Professor of Political Science in the School of Politics, Security, and International Affairs (SPSIA) at the University of Central Florida, Orlando, USA. Over the last 15 years, he has also been an Associated Research Professor at the Chr. Michelsen Institute (CMI), Bergen, Norway. His research interests focus on comparative judicial politics in Latin America (particularly water rights and LGBTQI+ rights litigation) and the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning. He has published almost 100 peer reviewed articles and book chapters as well as three academic books. His most recent book (co-edited with Evelyn Villarreal), El agua como derecho humano: Reconocimientos y disputas en Costa Rica (Water as a Human Right: Achievements and Disputes in Costa Rica), was published in April 2022. He was also the Research Leader for the research project Elevating Water Rights to Human Rights: Has it strengthened marginalized peoples’ claim for water? in the Centre on Law & Social Transformation – LawTransform, which included scholars from multiple countries and has so far resulted in more than 30 publications and numerous academic and public-facing presentations.
